Because School Jotter is web-based, you can update your website from anywhere with an Internet connection, giving you the freedom to work wherever you prefer, and the flexibility to make urgent changes without having to go in to school. Following the model exemplified by popular Web 2.0 initiatives such as Wikipedia and Facebook, School Jotter allows students and teachers to collaborate in the creation and maintenance of the school's web presence, whilst ensuring that all contributions can be centrally controlled and monitored to comply with data and security policies.
Password protected pages make sensitive information available through an easily accessible source. These pages take the same form as all other pages, the only difference being when visitors try to view the page their browser session will be checked to see if they have already logged into the School Jotter system. If they have logged on and have the correct credentials they are permitted to view the page, if not they will be asked to login.
Once you have edited your page you either save the page so that it instantly appears on your website or you can save a draft version for editing later.
You can access your saved drafts using the 'manage drafts' panel. From here you can view/edit, delete or put your drafts live.
