Complaints

The full complaints procedure relating to the curriculum and related matters is available either from the school or from:

The Education Department, P.O. Box 266, The Council House, College Road, Doncaster, DN1 3AD, Telephone number: 01302 737202

In general, complaints are dealt with in a similar way as the pastoral procedure. A minor issue may be taken up with the class teacher. More serious concerns may be addressed to the Deputy Head. The Deputy Head will always inform the Headteacher of any issue brought to her.

The Headteacher is of course willing to address any issues where you feel that the above is not sufficient.

Further complaints may then be addressed to the Chair of Governors.

We ensure that our curriculum and school procedures fulfil all statutory obligations.

Exemptions from lessons

Children may be exempt from Religious Education, Assembly and other activities involving religion, such as Christmas activities / visits to the Church if this is contrary to the personal religious beliefs of themselves and their parents. Alternative arrangements will made. We do require a letter informing us of your intention to withdraw your child from these or other activities.

Children with minor injuries may of course be excused from physical activities for short periods, again we need to be informed of this in writing, stating what the injury is and the lessons / activities you wish them to be excused from (sometimes, this includes outdoor play, to minimise the risk of further injury).
