Ladycross is a very busy school, with lots of events and activities going on throughout the year.
We have a Welcome Week, Healthy Week, ACES Day and Sports Day. Children enjoy taking part in Christmas and summer concerts. We plan Easter and Autumn festival activities, school discos and fairs. On Bonfire Night, we held a 'sparkle day' and everyone dressed in clothes that glittered.
We have celebrated the Chinese New Year and held a special activity afternoon about it. Year 2 children held a 'Sing Up' cafe and around 70 parents and family members came. The choir went to Treetops Hospice to sing for them and meet the residents. Children in Year 1 are sponsoring a child from Ghana and her name is Diana. We send some money each month to help her at school. Year 2 children are sponsoring an elephant in India. As a school, we have raised money for Marie Curie charity by planting spring bulbs. We have also made boxes full of gifts in a charity appeal called 'Christmas Child'. Recently, some children took part in African drumming lessons and learnt how to play a drum from Ghana.
Ladycross really is a very busy place!
