We've found a use for the logs!

Wednesday 2nd March 2011 - Children meet designers

Children, staff and governors met with architects, construction engineers and Education Leeds staff to continue the process of remodelling and expanding the school. Our children continue to play an important role in developing the new building which is due for completion in 2012. The project is currently being reviewed by the Planning Department, with building work set to start this summer to first build the extension before refurbishment of the current building takes place. They had the opportunity to meet and share their ideas with the people who are responsible for design and construction in the third of a series of workshops.

The latest set of plans is on display in the school hall. You are welcome to drop-in after school and examine them.

February half-term 2011 - Trees removed

In order to clear space for the construction of the new building it has been necessary to remove several trees. This was completed during the half-term holidays to prevent any disturbance to birds during to the nesting season. Replacements will be planted elsewhere in the grounds to create an orchard. As the new building will not extend beyond the footprint of the existing playground, both playing fields will be retained with the orchard planted at the southern edge.
