Since September 2006 Admissions have been processed by Sefton Local Authority Admissions Department.
You may apply to the school using the downloadable Admission Form to show your interest in a place for your child at St. John Bosco Catholic Primary (please also include a copy of your child’s Baptism Certificate if they were not Baptised at St. Gregorys or Our Lady’s Church).
The school uses this information to send you an official Sefton Application Form the September prior to your child starting school. On this form you must select three preference schools and return to your first preference choice by a given date in October. The Local Authority processes the first preferences and sends the information back to school for Governor approval. Successful applications will be notified by letter sent by the Local Authority in the April prior to your child starting school.
Your chosen school is not allowed to give out any information before the official letter is sent.
If you have not been successful at your first preference school, you can appeal against the Local Authority decision. Please contact the Local Authority to lodge an appeal.
