‘Building leaders for our future.’

Our leading College caters for pupils in Grades 10 to 12 and offers a range of FET subjects which will enable them to specialise in the subjects that best suit them. The College has a record of exceptional academic achievements, as well as a tradition of excellence in cultural activities such as drama, music, debating, public speaking and, in particular, dance.

We are privileged to have a team of highly qualified educators who are acknowledged as experts in their fields and are exceptional at encouraging independent thought, developing talents and inspiring each student to achieve their maximum potential. Our pupils leave us as confident, mature, responsible and motivated individuals who go on to excel in their chosen fields.

Every senior student is on a pathway — a pathway that includes various trials and successes. This involves a fine balancing act, with academic success being paramount and requiring outstanding facilitation and monitoring. Embarking on this pathway at Eden can change your life

Head of Eden College

Mr Chris Marcellin

Chris Marcellin heads up Eden College Durban.

Christopher Marcellin caught the teaching bug in France in 1994 when he did a short stint of English teaching as a favour to his stepmother. On his return to SA he completed his BA and then read for his HDE in English, History, Speech and Drama and French.

His first position was as a teacher of History, Drama and French at Epworth School in PMB. He left Epworth in 2002 to do a CELTA course at International House in Durban. On completion of this course he was approached by Crawford to teach History and Drama. Chris was appointed Acting Deputy Principal in 2005.

Fervently passionate about teaching teenagers, he strongly believes in a holistic approach to education and is excited about Eden and the potential of the College
