We’ve had a busy, enjoyable and rewarding half term – thank you for your support.
PTA Summer Fair Success! Thank you all for your support of our summer fair through our non-uniform days. A big thank you as well to the PTA and everyone who helped set up and helped on the day, also to everyone who came and supported. We had lovely weather, there was a village fete atmosphere and everyone seemed to be having a very good time. We raised a fantastic £2275 which will go towards our school library and enrichment activities and resources to benefit all the children at Lane End.
Stockport Olympic Swimmers in School
Keri-Anne Payne and David Carry, Olympic swimmers who train with Stockport Metro, visited school today and spoke to the children about perseverance and putting in effort to gain success as well as the upcoming Olympics. The children were completely enthralled and asked some excellent questions.
The Year 5 Class are holding a cake sale after school tomorrow. It will be on the playground if it is fine and in the Community Room if it is wet. All of the money raised will go to Key 103’s appeal to buy a mobile CT scanner for the critical care unit at Manchester Children’s Hospital. Please show your support to this very worthy cause.
Please spend a few minutes tonight filling in our Parents’ Questionnaire before it closes after school on Friday.
Thank you to everyone who has already replied. Everyone’s response is important – please tell us what you’re pleased with (otherwise we don’t know!) and any developments you’d like to see. We analyse the questionnaires to see if there are any common themes which will help with our future plans and so need as large a response as possible.
