Harvest Service (Year 3) - October 2011
On Wednesday 5th October Year 3 held a Harvest service for families and friends of the school. The children performed a variety of songs and poems about the harvest season and also acted out their own version of 'The Enormous Turnip' story. We were proud of how well they performed - entertaining their audience whilst also communicating the important message that harvest is a time for 'giving thanks' and 'sharing with others'.
This Year we asked families to donate food items that could be passed on to our chosen charity - the East Bristol Food Bank. Between us we donated a huge 73kg of food which the Food Bank inform us will provide 100 meals for three families in crisis. Well done everyone!
