Year One visit to the DW Stadium 2011

On Tuesday 29th November 2011 Year One went on a trip to the DW Stadium. We had a fantastic day out and were kept very busy by Darren and Lee who showed us around. In the morning, we went on a tour around the Stadium. We saw the players changing rooms, the trophy cabinet, the prison cells and the players gym. We learned lots about how important it is to keep your body healthy and why we need to exercise.

We also had a gymnastics lesson in the sports centre. We had a go on the fast track, trampoline and the balance beam.

In the afternoon we went across to the Soccerdome for a rugby lesson. As we walked across the heavens opened and we got soaked but this did not dampen our day. Everyone really enjoyed our trip and all the children were a credit to our school. Thank you to all our helpers who made the day possible.
