Boreatton Park 2011
We travelled to Boreatton Park in Shropshire for our residential trip
on Monday 26th September 2011 - we were there until Friday 30th September.
We had a wonderful time, and the weather was really hot all week, we tried out various activities and would love to go again!
We stopped for lunch at Blists Hill Victorian village. Here we could see how people lived and worked in the Victorian times - we could even exchange our money at the Bank for their money and use it to buy things in the Village.

This was fun and scary at the same time, you went up the ladders in pairs then once the first person went down half-way, the next person could go. It was a fantastic experience, even some of the staff had a go - even though they were scared! |
We went on this in pairs, the other children from our group had to pull us up to a height that we chose, then one of us had to let the peg out to make us swing. This was a big favourite with a lot of us! All you could hear was the wind in your ears whilst you were swinging.
As you can see we loved it!

Zip Wire and Challenge Course |
The Challenge course and Zip wire were all about team work, it taught us how to help others and was great fun.
Zip wire was from a great height over the river, it seemed very easy but if you didn't like heights it was a challenge!
We went to a Campfire sing song one evening with other groups and a disco on our last night |
We rowed up the river where we played games and the instructors made sure we got wet! |
We had to build a raft using barrels and rope - we then had to use it on the lake and again....... we got wet! |
