Spring 2

As well as a trip to Whitworth Art Gallery, the children enjoyed a "Shape Safari".  There was finally some good weather and the children enjoyed the chance to play outside and develop their own ideas.  The children requested the "fire" props!

The children also enjoyed the time in the sand pit, using the bowls and spoons to pour and fill and "make a cake for baby bear's birthday".

Spring 2 Chinese New Year - the children were lucky to have a Mandarin speaker to come and show them how to write numbers 1-5 in Mandarin. They also made small dragon puppets by cutting out and colouring-in dragon faces. The children worked together to make a large dragon puppet and perform the 'Dance of the Dragon' to the beat of the drum.

Spring 1 - The Nursery children made the most of the snow and worked together to build a snowman!

The boys have been particularly interested in developing their ideas and building skills, using the bricks. They have been exploring the best ways to ‘balance’ the bricks.

Autumn 1 The Nursery children have been busy getting to know each other and getting to know the routines of the setting. They are enjoying all of the different play activities that the Nursery has to offer including building, counting and painting.

Autumn 2 The Nursery children visited The Museum of Science & Industry to explore things that fly! The children had the opportunity to move, explore and imagine with the fantastic flying machines!

We have included a selection of the display boards from around Nursery .
