Parent Page

Working in strong partnership is very important to us. Parents obviously have the most powerful influence on their child's development and we aim to help parents feel that they 'belong' and that Burley Oaks is their school too.

To help you support your child/ren at home, we have developed information evenings throughout the course of the year which have, so far, been very well attended.

If you have any ideas about how we can further support our partnership, please let us know.

"Teachers and parents should act as good role models who reflect the goals we set for our children. Children watch us and listen to our every word. If we want them to read, we must read; if we want them to work hard, then we must work hard; if we want them to practise scholarly pursuits, then we must practise scholarly pursuits; if we do not want them to sit in front of the television every evening, then we must not sit in front of the television ourselves."  David George, 2011.
