| 15th April 1872 | 10th March 1891 |
| This school was opened today with an attendance of 44 morning and 48 afternoon. Miss Young from St Denys' House came to assist in instructing the children who appeared both neat and clean. Found some difficulty in arranging them in standards as many of them had never been to school before and others irregular in their attendance on the other Parish schools from the distance they had to walk. Many mothers brought their children and expressed much pleasure at the opening. |
A very heavy snow storm Monday evening and this morning. Five children in attendance, have closed school for the day. |

| Registers were not marked until 2.20 this afternoon as a Division of Soldiers halted outside and the children were busy getting water for them. |
The School did not meet on Wednesday afternoon, on account of the King's visit to Warminster. |

| The children of Stds II - VI were permitted by the Managers to attend the funeral of a former pupil of the School, who was a sailor, and lost his life at the age of 20 in an attack by the Germans in the English Channel - His body was recovered and buried in St John's Churchyard. |
The school is closed this afternoon for blackberrying. |

| The children stayed in the playground until 3.30 this afternoon in order to see the King and Queen of Afghanistan, who are passing through Warminster after visiting Longleat. |
Armistice Day - 2 minutes silence kept. An account of the War specially written for young children was read and two Hymns were sung. |

| School opened this morning - opening has been postponed for two weeks to give time for the settlement of the evacuated children. |
Owing to air raid warning lasting until 9.40 am the registers were marked at 10 am. There were 84 children present out of a possible 90. Three other children reached school too late for their mark. |

| The school was closed during the two days Public Holiday to celebrate Victory in Europe. | Water Board officials defrosted mains and water supply resumed this afternoon. Telephone installed, but not working due to fault in overhead wires. |
