The Nursery Group recognises the importance of highly trained, experienced and professional staff and as such invest much time and effort in their recruitment and training.
Each nursery has its own Nursery Manager and Deputy on site.
These, together with Julie Harding, our Business Manager, Nic Hood, our Operations Manager and the Directors make up the Senior Management Team. This team regularly meets to discuss issues regarding all the Nurseries and to review policies and procedures, and training.
The majority of our staff are qualified and most have lots of childcare experience. We support training and we have a small number of staff who are completing their training on the job. We employ a graduate in each of our settings. Nic, our Operations Manager, is a qualified teacher, as part of her role she co-ordinates all our Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum accross the nurseries.
Just like the children in our care we never stop learning. Our staff are required to attend regular training courses as part of their own professional development and we also operate in house training. All staff are required to have paediatric first aid and food hygiene qualifications as basic training. All are CRB checked and we always obtain at least two references for new members of staff.
Parents should be aware that we choose our staff very carefully and our main priority when choosing staff to work within our nurseries is their genuine love and understanding of young children.
A cuddle goes a long way in the many situations which can occur during a day.
