Learning Resources Centre

Our new purpose-built Learning Resources Centre opened in November 2006, creating a calm and attractive environment for study.

We support the teaching of the curriculcum by providing resources in a variety of media for staff and all students across the subject areas. We provide books for recreational reading and try to foster a love of reading for pleasure.

The book stock is divided into fiction and non-fiction - the Dewey system is used for arranging non-fiction according to subject. The fiction is arranged in alphabetical order by authors' surname - all interests and abilities are catered for. Most stock can be borrowed - students can borrow 2 books at a time for 2 weeks (Post 16 can borrow up to 4 books).
