AGM for PTA

Chair’s Address:

Commented on a successful previous year, despite only doing a few events. Mainly stuck to what we know works well and brings the money in. The introduction of the cinema nights have been great and are easy to organise. Many thanks to the staff for their support especially during the summer fete, as without them running stalls would have been difficult due to the lack of parental volunteers.

Head teacher’s address:

Thanked Mrs Donovan-Davies and her team for all their hard work and support over the last year. The money raised has been very much appreciated as it’s paid for buses/ coaches for trips, school council and the Year 6 prom. The staff has many ideas how to spend the current money.

Treasurer’s report:

The current balance for the PTA is £7100 with the Clwb 100 account at £1100

Last year we raised £3400 with the summer fete bringing in £1700 with some outstanding advertising money still to collect.

Upcoming events:

Cinema night for the juniors on 12th October from 3.30 – 5 pm.

Halloween Disco on the 20th October. Usual times of 5 – 6 for Infants and 6:15 – 7:15 for juniors.  Food to serve – hot dogs and chips.

Christmas fete on the 25th November. Infant craft to be calendars.

July – no 17 – M. Jones - £30; no 10 – L. Hoolahan - £20

August – no 21 – L. Malpas - £30; no 32 – R. Richardson = £20

September & October’s winners to be drawn at next meeting due new members joining in the new academic year.
