Friends of Dalton School (FODS) are a group of parents who meet every half term to plan and organise fundraising and social events for our school.  It is also a chance for parents to meet one another and chat about improvements they would like to see at school.

Everybody and anybody with an interest in Dalton school is welcome to attend meetings.  We are always seeking more help.

The PARENTS IN ACTION GROUP meet, every last Friday of the month - all are welcome to come along and offer ideas and support for Dalton School.

Many thanks to the Parents in Action Group for organising the Mother's Day shop in May, the Father's Day shop in June and the Christmas shop. The shops have been very successful thanks to the time and effort of volunteers, led by Mrs. Farooq.

A profit of £420 was recently made from the FATHER'S DAY SHOP - many thanks to all who supported this.

Parents will receive a text for the date of our next meeting in the Spring term.

Past Events:

The Christmas Fayre was once again a great success, thanks to the generosity of parents and volunteers who ran stalls.

Thank you to all who donated items and helped out on the day. We made a total of £1200, which is absolutely brilliant. FODS will be asking the children where they would like to see the money spent.

The FUNMATS were a HUGE success - £900 profit was made!  Each child drew a design that was transferred on to anything from mugs to mousemats.  Thank you Mrs Shaw for this great idea and thank you to Mrs Mallinson for organising it all.

Thank you to all who came to BINGO and to those who helped by selling tickets and providing refreshments. We raised a total profit of £190. This helped pay for guided reading books.

£500 profit was made from the RACE NIGHT - many thanks to Mr Wainmwan for organising and running this very popular event.  Half the proceeds went to the Oliver Field Appeal.

Dalton School took part in the Almondbury School's Community Partnership Summer Fayre in July.  Children from Dalton School Sang and danced on stage - they were amazing!  We also ran a bun and cake stall.

Tea Towels and Handprint Bags - these were very popular and sold out very quickly.  Thank you for your support.
