Spring Term 2
Spring term 2
In the spring term the topic is 'Why do you want to live THERE?' in which the children learn about animals and their habitats. Last year the children visited the local pond to do some pond dipping so they could find out which animals and plants lived there.
'We found tadpoles and frogs in the pond.'
“We wrote a recount of our trip to the winter gardens. We had to include details about the types of plants we saw and why they are able to live in different habitats”
To keep fit and healthy this term all of the year 2 children chose an activity that they wanted to learn more about and perform in front of others. some children entered the family of schools cheerleading exhibition, others took part in a mini Olympics competition at the institute of sport and some chose to take part in a ‘rock and roll’ dance display at the crucible theatre.
“It was great fun going onto
the stage in front of all of those people” Kimberly
