Safety at School

We would respectfully ask all parents for their co-operation in the following matters for the health and safety of all concerned.

Parking
is not permitted on the school premises for safety reasons.

Prams and pushchairs
should be left outside in the playground as they create a fire risk blocking easy access to fire exits in the classroom and in the corridor.

Jewellery.
Children should not wear any jewellery in nursery.

Smoking
IS NOT PERMITTED BY PARENTS ON SCHOOL PREMISES. THIS INCLUDES THE SCHOOL CAR PARK AND PLAYGROUND AREAS.

Security.
Parents coming into nursery, other than at 9.00 am - 11.30 am, 12.30 pm - 3.00 pm, should enter at the main front door where there is a doorbell for admittance. Only staff are allowed to open the door to visitors. Please ask a member of staff to lock the door behind you when you are leaving.

Fire procedure.
Fire alarms and fire extinguishers are located around the school and are regularly checked. The children will be involved in a fire practice once a term. If the alarm sounds the children in the Nursery will exit through the fire door in their classroom and be taken to the main playground where the register will be taken. Any parent helpers in school at the time will assist the staff in escorting the children calmly outside to their Fire Assembly Point in the playground.
