We are a small but dedicated group of parents and teachers who organise social and fund raising events throughout the year to support and enhance the opportunities for our children in many different ways:
Since the PTA was established approximately four years ago, a total of £15,000 has been raised and this has benefitted each and every child in the school by enabling the purchase of a much needed stage in the hall along with new lighting and curtains. The school has also been able to purchase cameras for each class and been able to invite theatre groups in to perform which the whole school has enjoyed.
Each class also has had a certain amount of funds (from the popular cake sales) to spend on whatever they wanted and the purchases have been somewhat diverse – ranging from a worm farm to games for use during play.
All of this equipment and experiences would otherwise just not be available within the school budget and it is now more important than ever, with all the government cuts, that the school really needs the support of a strong P.T.A.
