The Work of HighScope GB

HighScope GB was established in 1990, then known as HighScope UK. Since then the use of the HighScope Approach in Britain has increased dramatically. Over a hundred professionals are Endorsed HighScope Trainers supporting the early years workforce in the U.K. and 3,000 practitioners have completed the HighScope Implementation Course, in addition it is estimated that 17,000 practitioners are using HighScope and 250,000 children have experience of the Approach each year.

Since the establishment of the Institute, HighScope GB has sought to deliver its mission statement in the following ways through:-

• Informing key organisations and Government 
• Training. 
• Quality control in training and practice. 
• Development of courses 
• Dissemination of the Approach through publications, awareness sessions and conferences. 
• Supporting the countrywide network of HighScope Endorsed Trainers. In doing so HighScope has achieved a very high profile in the sphere of early years education.
