Staff

Class 6 have written biographies of the staff and used a paint package to draw their pictures.

 

  Mr Twigg  

Mr Twigg is our Head Teacher. He was born in Bedford, but his family moved to Sheffield when he was very young. He enjoyed living there because he likes walking in the Peak District. He has a wife called Cathryn, and two sons called Benji and Toby. He has one younger sister and a younger brother. After University he wanted to become a teacher because he loves seeing children enjoy learning. He has taught in Nottingham, then as a deputy head in Southend and before he was Head Teacher at Lane End he was our Deputy Head Teacher. He particularly enjoys art, computers and maths. His hobbies are going for walks, swimming, reading and playing with his sons. He hopes that all the children at Lane End will have an enjoyable and valuable education.

 

MISS LYNCH

Miss Lynch is a Reception class teacher at Lane End. She has two brothers and one sister all younger than her. She has been teaching for twenty two years and has taught in Lane End for five years. Miss Lynch has two hobbies, badminton and music group. Two of her wishes are for peace and happiness.

 

MRS TOYNE

MRS LENAGHAN

 

Mrs Lenaghan was born in Sheffield and is a Class 1 teacher at Lane End Primary School. She has also been a Class 1 teacher in Sheffield for one year and a Reception class teacher in Alderley Edge for two years.  She is married but she has no children. She has one rabbit called Smudge and her hobbies include going to the gym, socialising with people and going shopping.

 

MISS RAINEY

MRS TWEDDLE

Mrs Tweddle (known as Mrs T) is the Class 5 teacher and has been teaching for six years. She was born in Macclesfield. She has a younger sister called Penny. She got married in 2003. Her current hobbies are skiing, snowboarding, going to the gym plus doing yoga, eating out and shopping. Her hopes for the future are to invent a magical way to get her books marked automatically, sell it to other teachers , make a million and retire by the time she is thirty. Mrs T  has said that Lane End is a very friendly place to work and she has said she would like to work more closely with children with special educational needs.

 

MRS CHAMBERLAIN

 

Mrs Chamberlain teaches Class 2. She was born in Wolverhampton. Her answer to the question why did you decide to become a teacher was ‘It seemed like a good idea at the time’. She has one sister called Sarah but does not have any brothers. Her hobbies are horse riding. Mrs Chamberlain has two cats, one called Gin and the other called Tonic. She is now married but does not yet have any children. Her hopes for the future are that she wins the Lottery and uses the money to move house near to the seaside and own lots of horses.

 

MISS JOSEPH

Miss Joseph is teaching Class 2 whilst Mrs Chamberlain is on maternity leave. More information and a picture coming soon...

 

MR TOYNE

 

Mr Toyne teaches Class 4 at Lane End Primary. He is married to Helen and has two brothers and one sister. He first thought about teaching when he worked in his friends classroom for two days, and really enjoyed his time there. Mr Toyne’s hobbies are climbing hills and mountains, sleeping in the afternoon and reading. He may carry on teaching for the rest of his career, but he doesn’t want to teach for the rest of his life.

 



Mr Vallance  

Mr Vallance teaches Year 5. He was born on a farm in Glossop in Derbyshire. He has a son called Daniel, a daughtercalled Jessica and a wife called Tracey who is also a teacher. His favourite subject at the moment is science, but when he was 10 years old his favourite subject was P.E. His hobbies are rock climbing, mountain biking and watching Coronation Street! His favourite holiday was to the Canadian Rockies with his family in 2005. Mr Vallance supports Manchester City! His future hope is to be loving teaching as much as he is now!    

 

Mrs Love
