Virtual Tour
A typical day at Lane End Primary School. Come and have a look round (it's December 14th 2010!)...
The Reception children are hard at work and play. They are really enjoying their learning.
The Year 1 children are doing some fantastic maths.
The Year 2 children are busy writing. Some of the children are making their design and technology vehicles.
The Year 3 children are doing an interesting science experiment about stretchy tights! They have to design a fair test to find out which material is the stretchiest.
The Year 4 children are having an action-packed afternoon - making (and tasting!) humous and designing Ancient Egyptian boardgames
Delicious!
The Year 5 children are designing information leaflets for Sherwood Forest (they've been learning about the legend of Robin Hood).
The Year 6 children are reading a book together about World War 2 to give them inspiration for their writing. After that, they practised their basketball skills.
Great shot (it did go in)!
You can scan your books in and out in the library.
Let's have a look in the ICT suite. Each class (from Reception right through to Year 6) have at least one session a week in here and the room also doubles up as our music room (as you can see!).
Children can learn the guitar, flute, clarinet and saxophone from Year 4 onwards.
Later on, the infant children come together for a Christmas show.
Another exciting day at Lane End!
