Green Class

The last half term was very busy for Green Class. We have been on a whirlwind trip to see Mega-Structures in Yorkshire and Humberside, visited Longwood Church and been busy drawing our local Mega-structure- Milnsbridge Viaduct. Have you seen our new display of Art work in the school hall?

We were fascinated by the size of all the Mega-structures we visited and enjoyed having our photographs taken next to them, some of which can be seen above. We compared the sizes of the three we visited, Victoria Tower Castle Hill, Emley Moor and the Humber Bridge and found that the Humber Bridge was the biggest, even though Emley Moor Mast is the tallest free standing structure in the United Kingdom.

We will use this information to design our own bridges, making them strong enough to carry a person across a river and also make a large class model using junk materials.

If you can donate any clean junk materials especially boxes and tubes, we would be very grateful.

We would also like to thank everyone who showed us round Longwood Church. We enjoyed ringing the bells, looking at the stained class windows and finding out about all the features, especially the Font and the hidden mice.

Can you spot yourself in our photographs below?
