Holy Trinity

When you first arrive at Holy Trinity’s website, you’re greeted by a splash page; with a flickering candle, moving clouds and a glowing sun, which encompasses the school building. This initial page engages visitors in the website due to the moving elements and the click of a mouse that’s needed to access the information.

A fantastic feature of this particular School Jotter is the sign post links that, once clicked, direct you to the school’s Learnanywhere VLE, Spellanywhere or news. As these sign posts appear at the bottom of every page it makes it easy for anyone to access.

e-Safety is of course a very important aspect for parent, teacher, school and child. With Holy Trinity’s website they have a whole section dedicated to this. In fact there’s so much detail they have two sections, one for parents and carers and the other for pupils. The section for parents includes guides to Facebook, Snapchat and Webcams. The section for pupils provides SMART rules and provides links to Cyber Mentors, Childline, and stories and videos linking to useful sites that  provide information on being safe online.

Finally, they have a section especially for children’s work, allowing visitors and parents to view the work that the pupils have been creating. This is also a great incentive: the better their work is, the more likely that it will be published on the website.
