At School Jotter, the leading provider of school websites and mobile apps in the UK, we have opportunities where you can work school hours, so 9am-3pm (give or take 15 mins). We already have 5 members of staff who are doing this and smashing targets.

You will come from an experienced sales background and have experience of both account management and business development.

Your main duties will consist of the following:

  • Renewing existing schools on the School Jotter platform
  • Building relationships with schools
  • Ensuring at renewal that existing schools have the most up to date version of the School Jotter platform
  • Working to and achieving set targets including, phone targets, renewal targets and customer retention targets
  • Thinking about ways of retaining schools
  • Escalating any queries/leads/training requirements ot the correct team in a timely manner
  • Strong team player
  • Attention to detail on administration tasks
  • School hours, Monday-Friday
  • Able to manage your own time
  • Confident telephone and video calling skills

As an IT firm, we use the most up to date communication skills such as video calling, phoning, screencasts and email, and so experience of these is essential.

This is a varied role with many different elements to it, there is no monotony as each school has different requirements, services and designs.

School Jotter are a Leeds-based firm supplying website solutions to schools. We are currently recruiting for a Sales Administrator to work within our team. The role will comprise of calling customers to work on retentions, working on customer service issues and general sales admin.

This can be a part or full-time role, flexible on the hours. All core hours would ideally be between 9am-2pm, currently working remotely with catch-ups in our Leeds City Centre office.

We are seeking a pragmatic, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic IT Customer Service Advisor to join our growing customer delivery function. The ideal person for this role loves to collaborate with our customers, who mainly include Deputy/Head Teachers of primary schools.

This role would be suitable for a graduate with a background or passion for tech and/or websites.

You will be given on the job training, but enthusiasm for learning is the strongest asset you could possess in this role.

List of duties

  • Ownership of a pipeline of customers who are in the delivery process, from sales handover through to customer acceptance and website go-live.
  • Working with customers to clarify requirements and to set clear expectations.
  • Ensuring customers are contacted regularly to ensure efficient delivery.
  • Escalating issues to developers, designers, and other colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Supporting customers by advising them about website best practice and processes.
  • Ensuring that any required tasks are set for the appropriate person and progressed in line with customer expectations and deadlines.
  • Reviewing tasks completed to ensure that quality standards are met.
  • Working to and achieving KPIs in relation to delivery throughput.
  • Training customers on products before hand-off to the aftercare support team.

Essential requirements

  • Relevant degree or previous experience in a similar position.
  • Stakeholder management experience in a customer service or project position.
  • Being able to organise many customer accounts in parallel, with an appreciation of different requirements, expectations and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, in person, by telephone, and by email.

Desirable requirements

  • Experience of working in a Kanban-style continuous flow project.
  • Previous experience of working in the education sector.
  • Experience of web domain DNS management.
  • Experience of using a CRM.
  • Experience of using Jira.

Job description: We are looking for people proficient in HTML and CSS to help with front end development on our CMS which is based around school websites. This will include building themes for websites, general change requests and bug fixes. There may be other ad hoc tasks as needed. We are currently working through a backlog of bespoke website themes and other change requests and bug fixes, so need people who are available immediately.

Essential experience: Good written and spoken English, able to program in HTML and CSS

Desired experience: Any experience of using technology such as Angular, Git, Linux or similar, degree in computer science or similar.
